the starting point
Inspired by the drawings of my daughters, I worked around the theme of origins, a journey in the opposite direction, a return to the starting point. The house is a central element; the house of our memory, the cardboard hut, the mother house. The house too, as the intimate theater where both the comedies and the small and large tragedies of our childhood are played; the house as the secret guardian of our first wounds; the house as the place of gestation and the primordial matrix of being.

M’inspirant des dessins de mes filles, j’ai travaillé autour du thème des origines, un voyage en sens inverse, un retour au point du départ. La maison est l’élément central ; la maison de notre mémoire, la cabane en carton, la mère-maison. La maison aussi, comme le théâtre intime où se jouent tant les comédies comme les petites et grandes tragédies de notre enfance ; la maison comme la gardienne secrète de nos premières blessures, la maison comme lieu de gestation et matrice primordial de l’être.
