Through a labor-intensive, craft-based, and process-oriented practice, Karen Meersohn’s work delves into our individual and collective experience of time. In this late modern era, marked by an unrelenting pursuit of efficiency and the consequent acceleration of our relationships with the world and others, she questions our capacity to construct narratives that can make sense of our private and social selves. 

Uncompromisingly minimal in its aesthetics, she predominantly employs discarded materials and deliberately restricts her chromatic palette. Each piece is conceived to minimize environmental impact and to engage meaningfully with the urban context from which it originates, fostering a dialogue between the artwork and its surroundings.
